Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is the use of assessment and intervention that helps to develop, recover, and maintain the meaningful occupations and activities of individuals, groups, and communities. Occupational Therapy goes deeper than just the physical by being client-focused and therapeutic to one's well-being. Occupational therapists specialize in teaching/assisting people how to work within their limitations so they can live and do things as independently as possible.

Emma Gidley, OT

"I love finding creative solutions to assist people in doing the activities that are most meaningful to them. Whether that is improving balance so that someone can get on the floor to play with their grandchildren, reducing pain their hands so they can continue painting, or increasing arm strength so they can dress independently. I enjoy hearing what is important to each person so OT can enhance their quality of life!"
Kat Foster, OT

I have already recommended Kat to anyone who will listen to me. First time in 5 months I have felt listened to and given concrete answers and exercises to improve my situation.
